Covid-19: 226 New Cases And 6 Additional Deaths

The Department of Health has confirmed 226 new cases of Covid-19.

They have been notified of 6 additional death related to the virus.

Of the cases notified today, 115 cases are among men while 109 are women.

Most people - 56% - are aged under 45 years of age.

The median age is 42.

Most cases, 64, are in Dublin.

Elsewhere, there are 41 new cases in Donegal, 23 in Tipperary, 13 in Limerick, 12 in Louth and 12 in Wicklow.

The remaining 61 cases are spread across 16 counties.

Meanwhile, there have been 18 additional hospitalisations in the past twenty-four hours.

In total, 292 Covid patients are being treated in hospital, 36 of whom are in intensive care.

The 14 Day incidence rate is estimated to be 107.8 per 100,00 population.
