Nadine Coyle will switch on the Christmas lights at Dundrum Town Centre.

The Girls Aloud star will do the honours on the 5th of November, before performing live beneath the chandeliers in Town Square.

Commenting on the news, she said: “Christmas shopping is so much more special when you can take your time, explore the shops and find something that genuinely reminds you of the person you’re buying for.

"I’m really looking forward to joining everyone at Dundrum Town for Giftmas Day, performing beneath the chandeliers and helping to switch on the Christmas lights. It’s going to be such a brilliant way to start the festive season.”

The event will take place at 6pm on Thursday, 5th November in the Town Square, the switch-on will see Nadine illuminate Dundrum Town’s new Christmas chandeliers before treating visitors to a special live musical performance.

For one day only, visitors can enjoy savings of up to 20 percent across participating retailers and extended opening until 10pm.

Meanwhile, following its popularity in 2025, Ireland’s first life-sized Live Advent Calendar will make its highly anticipated return too.

Performer and drag artist Paul Ryder, appearing as a glamorous Mrs Claus, will host the experience, bringing festive theatre, energy and plenty of surprises to shoppers throughout the day.

Located on Level 1 outside River Island, the Live Advent Calendar will run from 12pm to 4pm and again from 6pm to 9pm.

Shoppers will have the chance to unlock its doors and win prizes from a host of Dundrum Town retailers including Brown Thomas, Schuh, Thérapie Clinic, Boots, Swarovski, Molton Brown and Louis Copeland.

Paul Ryder said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be hosting the Live Advent Calendar this Giftmas Day.

"There are some fantastic prizes waiting behind those doors, and I can’t wait to meet the shoppers, build the excitement and bring a little Mrs Claus glamour to Dundrum Town!

"It will be a full day of surprises, laughter and festive fun.”

The much-loved Giving Tree will also return with charity partner Children in Hospital Ireland, offering shoppers an opportunity to support children spending the festive season in hospital.

Visitors will be invited to select a tag from the tree, purchase the suggested gift and leave the unwrapped present, with its tag attached, at the designated donation point on Level 1.

A tap-to-donate option will also be available for those who would prefer to contribute directly.

Last year, the Giving Tree generated more than 1,500 gifts for children in hospital, and Dundrum Town is encouraging visitors to help make an even greater impact in 2026.

Donations will be accepted until 22nd December 2026.

Don Nugent, Senior General Manager at Dundrum Town, said: “Giftmas Day arrives at the end of a landmark year of investment at Dundrum Town, with 25 new openings, store upsizes and major refurbishments taking place across 2026.

"From the expanded Zara flagship and the imminent opening of Zara Home to refreshed Bershka and Tommy Hilfiger stores and new arrivals across fashion, beauty, dining and lifestyle, there is more choice than ever for shoppers this Christmas.

"At a time when so much of our shopping is shaped by screens and algorithms, we want to bring back the enjoyment of exploring stores, discovering something unexpected and choosing gifts that feel genuinely personal."

Giftmas Day will also mark the beginning of a packed festive season at Dundrum Town.

Dundrum on Ice opens on Friday, 23rd October and Santa’s Christmas Wonderland returns on Friday, 27th November, giving families even more reasons to visit throughout the Christmas period.
