The Department of Health has been notified of 94 deaths related to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.
47 of those deaths occurred this month, 44 in January, 2 in December and 1 in November.
The median age of those who died is 82, with the age range between 36 and 100.
Meanwhile, the Department has also been notified of 1,013 new cases of the virus.
465 of today's cases are identified in men while 543 are in women.
Most people -56% - are under 45 years of age.
The median age is 41 years old.
Most of today's cases were identified in Dublin, where there is 337 new cases.
Elsewhere, there are 96 cases in Galway, 65 in Cork, 60 in Kildare and 48 in Louth.
The remaining 407 cases are spread across all other counties
Meanwhile, there have been 66 additional hospitalisations in the past twenty-four hours.
In total, there are 1,334 Covid-19 patients in hospitals - 203 of whom are in intensive care.
The five-day moving average of Covid-19 cases in Ireland is 1,121 cases per day.
CMO Encourages Public To Hold Firm
Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has encouraged the public to keep up their efforts as mortality rates remain high.
"We are continuing to see the traffic effects of the recent surge of Covid-19 infection in the form of mortality, hospitalisation and ICU admissions."
