Covid-19: 47 Additional Death And 631 New Cases

The Department of Health has confirmed 47 additional death linked to Covid-19.

14 deaths occurred this month, 18 happened in February and 15 in January.

As of midnight last night, there have been 631 confirmed new cases of the virus in Ireland.

Nearly three quarters of today's cases were identified in people under the age of 45 years old.

The median age is 29 years old.

Most of today's cases were identified in Dublin, where there are 247 new cases.

Elsewhere, there are 50 new cases in Kildare, 44 in Meath, 41 in Cork  and 32 in Limerick.

The remaining 217 cases are spread across all other counties.

Meanwhile, there have been 31 additional hospitalisations in the past twenty-four hours.

In total, there are 370 Covid-19 patients in hospitals - 92 of whom are in intensive care.

The 14 Day incident rate is 162,5 per 100,000 population.

As of Sunday, 150,247 people have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.
