Filming on the upcoming Friends reunion special wrapped over the weekend.

Here's everything we know about the episode, and what to expect from the gang.

You'll be happy to hear the main cast members all took part in the reunion special.

That includes Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc.

All six cast members are executive producers on the project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, they'll be paid between $2.5 million and $3 million for the special.

This is more than double what they were paid per episode back in the day.

Meanwhile, The Late Late Show writer Ben Winston is the director.

And of course, series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman are  involved.

They're executive producers on the project alongside Winston and the cast.

And we're guessing they'll also make an appearance on the panel.

There's been so much confusion around what the special episode will entail.

Is it an actual Friends episode? Or are the cast just reuniting to chat about the iconic series?

Unfortunately, the cast will not be reprising their roles for the special.

David Schwimmer told Graham Norton, "There is nothing scripted, we're not in character."

"We're all ourselves, the real people."

He teased, "There is one section of it that I don't wanna give away..."

"But... where we all read something..."

Perhaps they'll reprise their roles one last time to read a scripted special segment.

In January, Phoebe actress Lisa Kudrow revealed she had, "pre-shot something," for the episode.

She wouldn't spill any other revealing details, but she did say, "There's different facets to it, and we already shot packages of things."

Lisa made the revelation during a chat on Rob Lowe's podcast, Literally! With Rob Lowe.

She also put to bed any rumours of a reboot, "It's not a reboot."

"It's not like a scripted thing, we're not portraying our characters."

"It's us getting together, which just doesn't happen a lot and has never happened in front of other people since 2004 when we stopped."

The reunion special was filmed in L.A. last week.

According to TMZ, it was shot over three days at the Warner Brothers Studios lot.

The outlet report they filmed in a number of different spots including a space next to the iconic water fountain.

It's understood a live audience participated in the reunion special, which also took place inside, using the show's old stage.

However, TMZ report they were made up of extras, who were hired for the gig.

Imagine being paid to attend the Friends reunion special!

It was originally due out early last year.

However, due to the global pandemic, it's been delayed numerous times.

We're expecting it out within the coming months.

The series will stream on the HBO streaming service HBO Max.

And while the streamer isn't currently available in Ireland, it's due to expand across Europe later in the year.

So fingers crossed it's available by the time the Friends reunion drops.

Could we BE any more excited?!
