Connor talks Love Island exit on Aftersun

Love Island's Connor Durman appears on Aftersun to chat about his dramatic exit from the villa.

He was dumped from the show by his fellow Islanders who chose to save Sophie instead.

Connor admits he hopes Sophie will follow him out of the villa.

The former Islander says although his departure is very upsetting, he's leaving on a good note.

Connor and Sophie received the fewest public votes; it was then up to the other contestants to choose who stays and who goes.

When asked why he thinks they hadn't the support of the public, he says, "I think because we had such a bumpy ride."

He explains further, "So many obstacles in a way with people coming in and I think it put a massive test on us."

"The last few days we got on like a house on fire."

"I could see things escalating very well but it's a shame I had to go."

Connor says it was horrible to watch his friends as they voted to save Sophie instead.

He says, "But at the same time I had it in my head that whatever happens, I'm going home tonight."

"But yeah it was a massive shock seeing you there!" Laura pleads, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry."

The Coffee Bean Salesman says he had a gut instinct that Sophie wouldn't follow him out of the villa.

"But I just hope maybe in like a weeks time, if she has no connection with someone, that she does leave."

"Because I will be waiting for her and I want her to have the best time..."

Connor admits it was very hard to watch new Islander Wallace pick Sophie for a date on last night's episode.

"She got picked so she didn't choose to go on the date so I'm just trying to stay positive."

"We'll see what happens, won't we?"
