'It's all systems go' for Love Island's summer series

According to reports the upcoming summer series of Love Island is still going ahead.

While the show usually kicks off in June, it's believed they're hoping to launch it in July instead.

This comes despite the current global pandemic.

A TV insider told MailOnline this week, 'The team are still committed to the series airing this summer. The show will go on.'

'Production on Love Island have been told the upcoming series is still scheduled to take place but the show will launch a month later in July.'

'All the usual preparations are going ahead.'

The source continued, 'Potential islanders are still being approached as it can take weeks to recruit the right cast.'

'Bosses are desperate for the show to remain in the hearts of viewers after the winter series was tainted with sadness following Caroline Flack's tragic passing.'

'Final decisions will be made closer to the time but for now, it's all systems go.'

According to MailOnline, model Adam Rhazali was approached for the show last week.

He told the outlet that the Love Island casting team got in contact with him through his modelling agency Wilson Model Management.

However, Adam isn't sure the dating show is the right career move for him right now.
