Cardi B says she received an offer to perform at the Super Bowl, but struggled with the decision to turn it down.
The star says she declined in support of ex-American football player Colin Kaepernick.
He helped start a wave of protests by kneeling during the national anthem to raise awareness of police brutality and racial inequality.

Cardi B has however taken part in a in a commercial for Super Bowl sponsors Pepsi. The ad also features Steve Carell and Lil Jon.
