This is exciting.

We're a week away from Love Island kicking off on June 5th.

So far, three contestants have been confirmed for the show.

Ruchee Gurung

24-year-old Ruchee Gurung is the first official contestant for this year's summer series.

The beautician is a self-confessed "relationship kind of girl," but admit it's not worked out for her so far. She's sure this is "the perfect opportunity" to find love.

Opening up about herself, Ruchee said "my love language is gift giving, so I'm a real giver.

"I’m really caring, when I’m with someone I’m all about them. I’m also really loyal and love doing nice things for the people that are special to me."

Tyrique Hyde

23-year-old Tyrique Hyde is a semi-professional football who said he's bringing "vibes, confidence, good energy and honesty" into the villa.

He's sure to already have an edge on the other contestants, as he's best friends with Toby Aromolaran from the 2021 series.

"Toby is one of my best friends, we grew up together and were in the same class at school," he explained.

If some of the islanders get up close with Tyrique, they may notice he's got a tattoo next to his left ear.

He explained that he's deaf in his right ear, and so the tattoo next to his left one "symbolises strength and power in my good [ear]."

Molly Marsh

We had heard rumours of this gal joining the villa, and we're thrilled to see they're true.

TikToker Molly Marsh has over 600k followers and is the latest to be confirmed as going into the villa.

Molly feels Love Island is hopeful she can find a serious relationship on the show, calling it the "perfect" way to meet someone.

"I don’t go out and party and I don’t use dating apps," she told ITV.

"I’m actually quite old-fashioned, so there’s no better way to meet someone than by going into a villa in the sun with the potential ‘one’ in there."

It's not her first time in the villa either, as Molly was sent on press trips to the summer and winter villas to take a tour of both.

George Fensom

George sounds like a bit of fun, promising to bring "dad dancing" to the show.

He's a man who knows exactly what he wants from his partner, saying "I want them to be passionate about something, whether it’s a job or enjoying trips to the zoo on Saturdays.

"I prefer a girl who is naturally good looking, and someone who has even more banter than me – although I don’t believe that’s physically possible.

Catherine Agbaje

Looks like Ireland is being repped in the villa again this year!

Dublin real estate agent Catherine has called herself "fun and flirty."

She's definitely going to bring the positive vibes, as she said, "I’m always smiling, I’m always happy, I’m always laughing.

"You’ll always see me with a smile on my face."

Mehdi Edno

Ireland isn't the only country being repped in the villa though – French man Mehdi Edno has joined the line-up too!

He even has a plan for getting the ladies attention, saying "I’d simply start by speaking French, that usually gets girls interested."

He's keen to find someone "who is outgoing and up for an adventure."

Andre Furtado

We love to see a guy with ambition! Andre Furtado has a business with over 17k followers on Instagram.

Honestly though, we're not sure we'd love to be in the villa with him as he's an early bird.

"I have a strict morning routine, so if I wake anyone up sorry, not sorry. I’m always singing, I get up between 6 and 7am full of energy!"
