The government has launched a new safety training programme aimed at the night-time economy.
The Safe and Sound initiative offers free online modules for staff in pubs, clubs, restaurants, theatres, and festivals in nine pilot areas, including Dublin, Cork, and Galway.
Training covers sexual harassment prevention, bystander intervention, drink spiking awareness, and supporting vulnerable people.
Venues will also get access to new policy templates tailored for Irish nightlife.
Culture Minister Patrick O’Donovan said it’s about putting safety and respect at the heart of going out.
"We really just want people to be able to understand what they should look out for, what are the kind of giveaway signs people should be aware of."
He added, "and when they see them, how they should address it."
