Gardaí are investigating the deaths of two young men following separate violent incidents in Dublin over the Bank Holiday weekend.
A man in his 30s died after trying to escape an alleged assault by swimming across the River Liffey from Islandbridge to Chapelizod on Saturday night.
In a separate incident, a man in his 20s died after being discovered with serious injuries on Clarendon Street, just off Grafton Street, in the early hours of Monday morning.
In Laois, Gardaí have also made an appeal for witnesses to an incident which occurred on Sunday.
Officers are looking for camera footage, following violent clashes at a cemetery in Portlaoise.
Four people have been before the courts, after up to 50 people were involved in a brawl during the annual 'blessing of the graves' at St Peter and Paul's Cemetery on the Stradbally Road.
Garda public order units were called in to restore calm after knives were brandished and two people were injured.
