The figures were compiled by Pure Telecom.

A new survey has found that more than half of Irish office workers have returned to the workplace.

The workers, who leave behind the comforts of their home, are back on a full or part-time basis.

The research also found more than a quarter of those who have returned are reconsidering their attendance.

These people are concerned about travelling to work due to rising Covid-19 numbers.

As regards those who have not yet returned - only a small percentage don't want to return to the office at all.

Some are plotting to return by the end of the year, with 13% of those surveyed aiming to come back in January or February.

One in five want to return to their workplace full-time at some point. That involves attendance five days a week.

On average, workers want to work three days a week away in the office as the want for a hybrid working environment increases.

Pure Telecom also found that men are more likely to ask for compensation for household bills incurred working from home.
