Covid-19: 206 New Cases And Seven Further Deaths

The Department of Health has confirmed 206  new cases of Covid-19.

They have been notified of seven additional death related to the virus.

Of the cases notified today, 101 cases are among men while 105 are women.

Most people -67% - are aged under 45 years of age.

The median age is 34.

Most cases, 62, are in Dublin.

Elsewhere, there are 23 cases in Limerick, 20 in Donegal, 18 in Cork, 14 in Louth and 14 in Meath.

The remaining 53 cases are spread across 18 counties.

Meanwhile, there have been 10 additional hospitalisations in the past twenty-four hours.

In total, 248 Covid patients are being treated in hospital, 35 of whom are in intensive care.

The 14 Day incidence rate is estimated to be 98 per 100,00 population.

It's the lowest rate since September.
