‘Memento’ arrives as the first release after a busy two-year period of songwriting and collaboration for Talbot, attending songwriting sessions across Ireland and The Netherlands and taking time to hone her craft, working with a diverse range of artists including Roe Byrneand Jaxson.
Produced by Sam Stevenson (Still Searching) ‘Memento’ explores the intoxicating space between lust, longing and devotion. Centred around the idea of a fleeting encounter, the track captures the desire to hold onto a moment that was never meant to last, transforming a single night with someone into a keepsake - something to remember long after the experience is over.
Citing influences such as Dua Lipa, Griff, Remi Wolf and Jungle, sonically ‘Memento’showcases Talbot’s soulful vocals paired with high-calibre pop production - a recipe that has garnered her extensive praise across Irish media since her 2020 debut.
Releasing Thursday, September 24th, ‘Memento’ sets the tone for what promises to be an exciting next chapter for one of the country’s top emerging voices in Irish pop.
