The Sinner season 3
Netflix have announced the The Sinner will be making a comeback.
Matt Bomer will be joining the cast alongside Bill Pullman who plays Detective Harry Ambrose.
If you are not sure who Matt Bomer is, you will definitely remember him as the Ken Doll in Magic Mike.
The plot
The third season of the show will see Bomer playing a father-to-be named Jamie.
Jamie has called on Detective Ambrose for help in the aftermath of a horrific car accident.
The series will be set on the outskirts of Dorchester, New York.
As a result of the investigation Ambrose will have one of his most intense and dangerous cases to date.
What happened in season 2?
Jessica Biel who starred in the first series did not return for season 2.
However, she was involved as an executive producer.
In the trailer we saw Detective Harry Ambrose back to his hometown of New York.
He was there to help a former colleague's daughter investigate the brutal murder of two parents by their 11-year-old son.
The second season was well received by audiences.
It held a score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes however, it failed to meet the same hype as season one.
The release date for The Sinner season 3 has yet to be released.
