The President has signed the ban on fruity and menthol flavoured vapes into law.
The legislation will also introduce restrictions on the colour and imagery used in vape packaging and advertisements.
President Catherine Connolly's office confirmed the news this afternoon, saying: "Having considered the Public Health (Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products) (Amendment) Bill 2026, the President has signed the Bill and it has accordingly become law."
It follows concerns that sweet flavours and brightly coloured packaging were directly appealing to young children.
Along with the restrictions on vapes, the bill also prohibits the sale of nicotine consumption products, including pouches, to under-18s.
