And breathe...

Last night's episode of Love Island was intense.

More like Stress Island am I right?

The two villas met for a recoupling and it was dramatic.

Especially after the lead up to it with Amy saying she loved Curtis.

Meanwhile, he was trying to crack onto Jourdan, But was shot down.

The Recoupling

Danny coupled up with Jourdan

Anton coupled up with Belle

Curtis recoupled with Amy

Tommy recoupled with Molly-Mae

Lucie coupled up with George

Maura coupled up with Marvin

Anna coupled up with Ovie

Michael coupled up with Joanna

Jordan decides to stick with Anna. As Anna recoupled with Ovie, Jordan is now single

Amber decides to stick with Michael. As Michael recoupled with Joanna, Amber is now single

Maria, Nabila, Lavena, Stevie, Dan and Dennon are dumped from the Island.

The Dumped Islanders

Lavena

  1.   Are you disappointed you didn’t make it into the main villa?

I’d say I’m disappointed that I didn’t meet someone that I connected with, which was a shame for me, but other than that I’m excited about having done it and I’m looking forward to meeting someone on the outside. I’ve learnt a lot about myself. I had to have a serious conversation with Danny, which normally I wouldn’t want to have. It’s made me realise I need to open up and say how I feel.

  1.   Is there anything you would have done differently had you had your time again?

I think I probably would have been more myself. Danny said he didn’t connect with me and perhaps I should have been more open.

  1.   If you had the opportunity to go back, would you do so?

Yes I 100% would. Villa life was for me!

  1.   Who were you closest to, both in a romantic sense, and as friends?

Romantic would be Danny, and girl wise I’d say Joanna. I love her. Danny is a very mature, deep guy. I’m buzzing for Joanna. She and Michael are so good together. I really like Michael. He seems besotted with her.

  1.  From what you could see, was anyone playing a game to secure their place in the villa?

 No I don’t think so.

  1.   Which of the romances do you see lasting the distance and which couple do you see having a short future?

I’d say that maybe Joanna and Michael have a long distance. I’d also say Molly-Mae and Tommy. After seeing her cry I knew it was real.

  1.   What did you find to be the biggest challenge of being in there?

The biggest challenge was standing out amongst everyone else. We were all big characters.

Dan

  1.   Are you disappointed you didn’t make it into the main villa?

I suppose so but not massively upset, I just didn’t really have a connection with anyone. I couldn’t fake it. Lucie was a cool girl but she had two lads after her straightaway so they had their foot in the door before I had a chance.

  1.   Is there anything you would have done differently had you had your time again?

Probably stuck it on a little bit thicker. I didn’t really have a strategy before hand. It thought It’d be myself, and say ‘what happens happens’, which perhaps isn’t the best way to play it.

  1.   If you had the opportunity to go back, would you do so?

  Yes definitely.

  1.   Who were you closest to, both in a romantic sense, and as friends?

I got on with all of them the same.

  1.   From what you could see, was anyone playing a game to secure their place in the villa?

Yes Marvin. He was doing whatever it takes. He doesn’t feel genuine towards Maura. I think it depends on how it pans out whether she’ll realise that.

  1.   Which of the romances do you see lasting the distance and which couple do you see having a short future?

Amy and Curtis seem very genuine, that’s probably the only one I would say. If Anna and Ovie carry on the way they are they might last. Marvin and Maura won’t last the distance. Lucie and George are very good looking but they are very different.

Dennon

  1.   Are you disappointed you didn’t make it into the main villa?

Of course there is a little bit of disappointment but in the last few days I knew where it was genuinely going. I thought Maura was itching more towards Marvin. I was content with it before it happened. I wasn’t taken by surprise.

  1.   Is there anything you would have done differently had you had your time again?

I wouldn’t have put all my eggs in one basket. I had the instant attraction to Maura but I would have branched out, especially knowing what’s happened with Amber. I would have got to know her on deeper level.

  1.   If you had the opportunity to go back, would you do so?

Yes I would definitely. But I have no regrets. I’m not a regretful person. I was true to myself and I made friends who I will see again on the outside. If I did go back in, it would be Amber I would be looking at. We get on really well.

  1.   Who were you closest to, both in a romantic sense, and as friends?

Friends wise it was me, Amber and Ovie. And I got quite close to Lucie.

  1.   From what you could see, was anyone playing a game to secure their place in the villa?

Everyone knows what I think – Marvin. I’m not sure he would be with her on the outside.

  1.   Which of the romances do you see lasting the distance and which couple do you see having a short future?

Ovie and Anna would last the distance but it depends whether the public support them in that sense. I could see them being together outside of the show. George and Lucie I don’t think will last. He said to me she’s not his usual type. He’s with her because he was short of options.

  1.   What did you find to be the biggest challenge of being in there?

Not speaking to my family and talking to my mum all the time. There’s a lot of people around you to get you through it. And of course everything is heightened times ten.

Maria

  1.   Are you disappointed you didn’t make it into the main villa?

I am feeling great about it all. I am of course disappointed it wasn’t longer but I understand why and I understand I went in in a position where it might have been a short stay. The main thing was to enjoy it and make the most of it.

  1.   Is there anything you would have done differently had you had your time again?

I probably wouldn’t change anything. I took things at my own pace. I felt like I had a bit of a connection with Jordan. I thought I might have a chance with him. He’s probably kicking himself now he chose to stick with Anna.

  1.   If you had the opportunity to go back, would you do so?

Yes I would. And I would probably try to couple up with Jordan.

  1.   Who were you closest to, both in a romantic sense, and as friends?

As friends, I was closest to Tommy. Tommy and Jordan were the boys I spoke to the most.

  1.   From what you could see, was anyone playing a game to secure their place in the villa?

The only person I said was playing a game is Jordan. I thought he might be sticking with Anna as it was a safe option. But I probably don’t know the situation well enough to say he’s definitely playing a game but it crossed my mind.

  1.   Which of the romances do you see lasting the distance and which couple do you see having a short future?

I can really see Joanna and Michael going the distance. I can see a lovely connection with those two and I’m 100% behind it. I can’t see Curtis and Amy going the distance. Just because I think there are a lot of holes there.

  1.   What did you find to be the biggest challenge of being in there?

I feel like I wasn’t there long enough to experience some of the challenges the other islanders faced – they really missed home, and music. But I was in a better position as I had just gone in. Things like sharing a bathroom is definitely a challenge.

Stevie

  1.   Are you disappointed you didn’t make it into the main villa?

I am quite disappointed but I think it takes me onto new things. I had fun with the experience and I’m happy with that. I was confident at the start, I probably held off the gas a bit too much towards the end because I almost forgot that the main goal was to find someone.

  1.   Is there anything you would have done differently had you had your time again?

That’s a difficult one because it was such a short space of time. I don’t want to look back with too much regret, and I shouldn’t dwell on what could have been, but maybe I would have made more small talk with Lucie.

  1.   If you had the opportunity to go back, would you do so?

I think she seems very happy with Lucie and I don’t think there would be a girl for me right now. I would love to go back for the experience because the journey shouldn’t have ended so early but I think Lucie is good with George.

  1.   Who were you closest to, both in a romantic sense, and as friends?

Ovie and George definitely. They are people that I never thought I would meet. We had an instant bond. We were all so different but so similar. With George it was the weirdest love triangle. But we got on so well. I’m really happy for them both going into the villa. When Lucie picked George I smiled as he gets a go at this. I don’t look back with any malice.

  1.   From what you could see, was anyone playing a game to secure their place in the villa?

I think Marvin changed strategy half way through. I didn’t think he liked Maura. I think he realised this was a way for him to get in. He’s a lovely bloke but I definitely saw a change in direction.

  1.   Which of the romances do you see lasting the distance and which couple do you see having a short future?

I see the longevity in Ovie and Anna and the shortest Marvin and Maura. I have no idea how Lucie and George will go. I want them to do really well as they are both really lovely. In terms of how similar they are, they seem like very different people. But on paper he’s her type. She went by the laws of attraction.

  1.   What did you find to be the biggest challenge of being in there?

Trying to grasp a strong relationship in such a small space of time. Things get very intense very quickly. Perhaps at times I came across too strong because you have to say how you feel quite quickly. It was a challenge to figure out whether you’re too much or too little.

Nabila

  1.   Are you disappointed you didn’t make it into the main villa?

I think that the age gap between me and the rest of the boys made it quite difficult. I know what I want. The boys are lovely but I’m a bit older than them. I’m really grateful for the opportunity though and I’m positive about things, I don’t really think any of the guys were for me. I made the most of it, but I wish I’d had a bit more time.

  1.   Is there anything you would have done differently had you had your time again?

When I first came in, I wasn’t direct enough about who I fancied. When time’s not on your side, you can’t really afford to do that. I did fancy some of them but for me it’s important to get to know people one on one, and it’s hard to do that with lots of people in there.

  1.   If you had the opportunity to go back, would you do so?

I don’t think I would. It was so much fun, and I laughed so hard every day, especially with Belle, who I hit it off with straight away, but there wasn’t anyone there for me romantically. I’m happy for the girls that have stayed though. With the current boys though, I wouldn’t go back in.

  1.   Who were you closest to, both in a romantic sense, and as friends?

I was closest to Belle and Maria, and boy wise I was closest to Michael – he’s a similar age to me, and has the same banter.

  1.   From what you could see, was anyone playing a game to secure their place in the villa?

No I think everyone fancied everyone genuinely.

  1.   Which of the romances do you see lasting the distance and which couple do you see having a short future?

Anton and Belle actually suit. They might not look like they do but it’s not until you are in there you see how much they bounce off each other. They’ve got the same sense of humour. I think Danny has been hoping around too much so I’m doubtful about him and Jourdan.

  1.   What did you find to be the biggest challenge of being in there?

I think it’s difficult having six girls with big personalities come in and try to find a guy to fancy. All the girls were fighting to be heard and if you have any doubts you’re not going to get very far in the villa. If you beat around the bush and hesitate, you’ll lose out.
