It’s finally summer and that means one thing, it’s time for the races.

It’s a feeling you won’t find anywhere else. It’s the whole experience. It’s that feeling you get in the packed stands or watching the theatre of the parade ring. It’s the anticipation as the races unfold out on the track. 

From the elegance and colour of ladies days to the party atmosphere of the music nights, you and your friends are spoiled for choice. So what are you waiting for? Embrace the feeling of a day at the races. Play the odds, raise a glass and enjoy good times with friends.

Here is where the races are at this summer in Ireland!

 

The Killarney Races  - 17th – 20th  July & 23rd – 26th August

The most picturesque racecourse in the country & arguably in any country,  It is always a delight to visit.

 

The Curragh Darley Irish Oaks Festival Kildare – 15th & 16th July

High summer and another great weekend of sport and socialising, The female equivalent of the Derby, the Darley Irish Oaks sees some of the best fillies in Europe doing battle. A race that is frequently as compelling as the Derby itself.

 

The Galway Festival – 31st  July – 6th August

Seven days of fun, West of Ireland style! There is nothing like it anywhere in the world.

Tramore Festival -  Co. Waterford – 17th – 20th August

Fun racing at one of the biggest seaside resorts in the country. Tramore is always enthusiastically attended with strong support from the local population.

 Bellewstown August Festival - Co. Meath – 30th & 31st August

Like a late blossoming tree, nestled in the bosom of the beautiful Meath countryside, this historic site for racing comes into bloom for two months in the summer.

 

Laytown – Co. Meath – 5th September

This is racing as it might have been hundreds of years ago, which gives a quaint charm to this stripped-down version of the sport; no frills, no fuss, just a truly memorable day out. 

Longines Irish Champions Weekend - Leopardstown, Saturday 9th September - The Curragh, Sunday 10th September

Ireland’s newest racing event combines two of the best days of quality Flat racing into one amazing weekend, where the best in the world come to meet for racing, style and entertainment.

Listowel Races – 10th – 16th September

 When it comes to festivals, nobody does it better than the people of Kerry! Need we say more?
