The Secrets Of Primrose Square Comes To The Lime Tree Theatre

An instant hit when published in 2018, The Secrets of Primrose Square by Claudia Carroll remained in the charts for 14 weeks.

During Covid-19 lockdown, it was the number one downloaded book, both in Ireland and the UK.

In August and September 2020, the audio book reached no. 1 in the public library download charts in Ireland, followed in the no. 2 spot by Normal People.

It was announced today that after a delay due to the impact of Covid 19, the stage production based on the book of the same name will at long last premiere next month.

Directed by Mark Lambert, this stage adaptation is written by Claudia Carroll herself.

This premiere production will feature Megan McDonnell (Elaine in Normal People & The Playboy of the Western World Lyric Theatre & DTF), Clelia Murphy (Fair City, The Sound of Music, Bord Gais Energy Theatre & UK tour) and Marion O’Dwyer (one of Ireland’s most renowned actors of stage and screen).

Audiences will have the chance to experience the world of Primrose Square from the safety of their homes.

Partnering with venues across the country Pat Moylan has curated a simultaneous streaming event for this unmissable production which will be staged at Draiocht Arts Centre, and available to stream from Draiocht and our partner venues Lime Tree Theatre, The Watergate, The Civic and Town Hall Theatre.
