The famous Glastonbury festival that has taken place almost every year on Worthy Farm is taking a break next year.

However, BBC are planning an alterative to keep the party going while Glasto takes its traditional fallow year.

They've released the first details of the festival. It will be called The Biggest Weekend, and will take place in four sites in four nations - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, across the late May UK Bank Holiday weekend 25-28th May.

There will be over 175,000 tickets available to the public.

The BBC have also said in a statment that 'this festival will be for one year and there are no plans for it to become an annual event.'

Glastonbury has been confirmed for its return in 2019 in what will be the festival's 50th year.

Thanks for coming, and for making #Glastonbury2017 such a special one. Roll on #Glastonbury2019!
