Phillip & Holly Easter Bunny debate

Phillip and Holly struggled to contain their laughter during an eggsellent (lol) debate with British journalist Nick Ferrari on This Morning.

The discussion revolved around whether or not the Easter Bunny should be deemed an essential worker.

It's after New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern branded the rabbit just that.

Jacinda made the revelation during a press conference on Monday.

She said, "You’ll be pleased to know that we do consider both the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny to be essential workers..."

"As you can imagine, at this time they’re going to be potentially quite busy at home with their family as well and their own bunnies."

Phillip supports Jacinda

Phillip supported Jacinda's comments saying she was just, "putting on a layer of reassurance that we want a bit of normality and life can be normal in that area."

However, Nick was having absolutely none of it, "Phillip my problem is the expression, 'front line workers.'"

Phillip corrected him saying Jacinda actually quoted, "essential workers."

Nick went on, "When I stand and applaud every Thursday at 8pm, I'm not applauding the Easter Bunny."

A this point, Phillip and Holly were struggling to hold in their laughter.

Nick went on, "I'm applauding the doctors, the nurses, the anesthetists and the ambulance drivers."

"Of course I want the Easter Bunny to come this Sunday and of course I want the Tooth Fairy to come to Holly's daughter!"

"But let's not liken them to people who are putting their lives on the line every single day."

This comes shortly after Minister for Health, Simon Harris tweeted some, 'important news for children.'

He said, 'Many of you contacted me & asked me to if the Easter Bunny was allowed work this weekend.'

'I have checked with our top doctors & the good news is he can.'

Just five days to go until the Easter Bunny arrives!
