Liam Payne and Maya Henry have called it quits 10 months after they got engaged.
He confirmed the news in a recent interview on The Diary of a CEO podcast.

After confirming his relationship status, he admitted, "I'm more disappointed in myself for keep on hurting people."
"That annoys me. I've just not been very good at relationships."
"And I know what my pattern of things is with relationships, I feel at this point."

Liam continued, "I'm just not very good at them so I just need to work on myself before I put myself on to somebody else."
"And I feel like that's where I got to in my last relationship."
"I just wasn't giving a very good version of me anymore, that I didn't appreciate and I didn't like being."

The former One Direction band member said he feels, "better," for leaving the relationship.
"It had to happen," he continued, "I know I was the problem and I need to sort myself out."
He added that he, "[hopes] she's happy."

The former flames went public with their romance in the summer of 2019.
Last August, reports emerged that he had popped the question, and it wasn't long before his rep confirmed the news with E!

It's believed Maya was a big One Direction fan when she was younger.
According to MailOnline, their first encounter took place at a 1D meet-and-greet event when she was just 15.
