Fans stick up for Love Island's Curtis

Love Island's Curtis Pritchard revealed earlier this week that he wouldn't rule out a relationship with a man.

Following this revelation, he appeared on Good Morning Britain where he was questioned further.

The presenters have faced backlash for attempting to 'pressure' him into labelling his sexuality.

Speaking with The Sun this week, Curtis admits he'd never rule out a same sex relationship, 'You can never put a label on anything.'

'I’ve been with women and I’m with a woman now. It’s a cliche to say, but love is blind.'

'I can never ever say what will happen in the future. I wouldn’t rule anything out.'

Good Morning Britain

Shortly after this interview, he appeared on Good Morning Britain for a chat with Kate Garraway and Adil Ray.

When asked about his sexuality, he gave pretty much the same answer he had given in his last interview.

"All I wanna say is that I am one hundred percent comfortable with where I am now in my relationship with Maura."

Adil questions, "but are you saying that you're bisexual?" Curtis responds, "I'm not labelling anything..."

"Because I don't feel like I need to label anything."

He explains further, "So many people say things like, 'my heads not going to be turned', but then things change."

"I learnt this from the villa actually! - they change their mind. That's why I'm not labelling anything because things change."

The presenter prods further, "there is some discussion since your comments..."

"That there are people saying that for men in particular they find it very hard to come out as bisexual."

"If you were bisexual perhaps you should just say that."

The dancer goes on, "I don't feel like I'm going to label anything, because I think that is the wrong thing to do."

Kate asks, "why didn't you talk about it when you were in the villa?"

He responds, "because I had my eye set on two people... Maura was one of them and Amy was one of them."

The presenter goes on, "a lot was made of your bromance with Tommy..."

Curtis says, "Look, I'm a man's man. I like company around guys. I like to have guy friends."

He explains his relationship with Tommy, "We had that initial connection..."

"I'm not saying the villa is a trauma but you go through a traumatic time even though it's amazing traumatic and we were there for each other."

Before wrapping up for conversation, Adil thanks Curtis for opening up.

"It's fantastic. I admire your honesty, talking about your own personal situation on your own terms, I think that's quite refreshing."

Fan reactions

Curtis' fans have been taking to Twitter to defend his decision not to label his sexuality.

Many have hit back at the presenters over the way they handled the interview.

'To get somebody to confirm their sexuality is disgusting.'
