Former Love Islander, Chris Hughes has jumped to his ex girlfriend's defense online.

It's after Katie Hopkins branded Jesy Nelson's bikini posts on Instagram, 'desperate.'

Katie tweeted, 'These desperate daily pics are showing that contrivance of a documentary to be darn insincere.'

'Girls. Be better than this. Beauty is in strength, not weakness that needs validating daily.'

So Chris lashed back, 'How about don’t be a bi**h your whole life and let that person live.'

He added, 'You tried it once years back, and it affected her mentally, just don’t be that a***hole.'

It was reported last month that Chris and Jesy had called it quits.

And shortly after, she deleted all traces of him from her Instagram account.
