A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital after he was attacked in the city centre.
He was assaulted on a laneway near Parnell Street after 4am today.
He's been taken to Beaumont Hospital.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything is asked to contact Gardaí.
