Tesco and Aldi are both dropping milk prices - just hours after Lidl.
A 10-cent drop in the price of Lidl's own-brand milk products came into effect this morning, with rival supermarket Aldi following suit this afternoon, and Tesco announcing it too will introduce a 10-cent decrease on Monday.
Lidl says it will see a three million euro saving passed on to its shoppers.
Keith O'Boyle is the chair of the Irish Farmers' Association's Liquid Milk Committee - he says these price cuts are disrespectful to farmers:
He said: "It's unsustainable and the only person that is going to get this hit is the dairy farmer.
We are not immune to the cost of living, we have it as consumers as well and unfortunately, we are getting it on both sides."
