The Junior Cert results will be released on October 18th.
Education Minister Norma Foley revealed the news while speaking in Tipperary this morning.
Minister Foley said she's aware, "there are students the length and breadth of the country eagerly anticipating the date."
Meanwhile, the Teacher's Union of Ireland has welcomed the news.
It says the announcement "provides clarity," for students and for teachers.
"We also note that this year’s date is over a month earlier than that of last year," the Union concluded.
In 2022 the results didn't come until the end of November.
