There has been a call for a bus route to the Dublin Mountains.

Dublin Commuter Coalition says congestion would be reduced around beauty spots.

Access would be made available to world-class nature, for those who don't drive.

The group notes it can be done by connecting two current bus routes, to and from Dundrum.

Dublin Fire Brigade and Wicklow County Fire Service have been among those to highlight the issue of bad parking.

They say bad parking in the mountains can hamper their response times.

PRO of Dublin Commuter Coalition, Gary Marshall says it can be a simple change:

"It would enable people from Dublin city, for example, to take the Luas out to Dundrum and hop on a bus and be in the Hellfire's Club or the Dublin Mountains in no time".
