A section of the N21 Castleisland to Tralee road in Co Kerry remains closed after a motorcyclist died in a road crash yesterday.
It happened at Kilally shortly before 8 o'clock last night.
A man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.
Local county councillor Bobby O'Connell says the community in Castleisland is shocked:
"Our sympathies go out to the family, our prayers are with them" he said.
"Anytime something like this happens in a small community, it's very very sad."
Gardaí confirmed this afternoon the road remains closed for technical examinations.
They're asking anyone with information or camera footage of the scene around 7-8pm last night to come forward.
