The Department of Health has confirmed 444 new cases of Covid-19.
Eight people have died from the virus; there has now been 1,920 Covid-19 related deaths.
Of the cases notified today, 208 cases are men meanwhile 235 are women.
Most people - 61% - are aged under 45 years old, with the median age being 37.
Most cases, 158, are in Dublin.
There are 48 in Cork, 36 in Galway and 28 in Limerick.
The remaining 174 cases are spread across 19 other counties.
There have been 25 additional hospitalisations in the past twenty-four hours.
In total, 310 Covid patients are being treated in hospital, 41 of whom are in intensive care.
The 14 Day incidence rate is estimated to be 212.7 per 100,00 population.

CMO Reminds Public Of Delayed Symptoms Of Covid-19
While commenting on this evening's figures, the Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan reiterated the importance of following health guidelines.
"If you are a close contact of a confirmed case, you are asked to restrict your movements for 14 days and to attend for your two free COVID-19 test, one on day 0 and one on day 7."
He reminded people that it can take sometimes before the virus becomes apparent.
"In following this important guidance, you are helping to bring this virus right back down to where we all need it to be and playing your part in this national effort," he concluded.
