63% of todays covid-19 cases are under 45 years of age
As of midnight Sunday 6th of December, the HSPC has been notified of 242 confirmed cases of Covid-19.
There has now been a total of 74,468 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland since the pandemic began.
Of todays cases:
- 76 of the latest cases are in Dublin, 27 in Donegal, 22 in Kilkenny, 16 in Galway and 14 in Louth
- 63% are under 45 years of age
- The median age is 37 years old
As of 2pm today 223 Covid patients are in hospitals in the Republic, 28 of which are in ICU.
There has also been 9 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
