The Weeknd has finally dropped his new album, Dawn FM, today.

As if we weren't already excited for the actual weekend, the blinding light singer has been teasing the release all week.

The Weeknd has been posting one-minute trailer clips of the album and along with artistic music videos.

The release comes after the artist shared a screenshot of a text message exchange where he decided to just, "drop the whole" album.

In the screenshot, the Weeknd says, "Happy new year! Everything feels chaotic again. Music can heal and that feels more important than another album rollout. Let's just drop the whole thing and enjoy it with the people... XO".

We are in for a treat as the album features a host of famous voices including Jim Carrey, Tyler, the Creator, Quincy Jones, and Lil Wayne

Dawn FM marks the singer's fifth studio album. In 2020, he released ‘After Hours‘, which took TikTok by Storm.

Save Your Tears from the Album was later remixed and featured Ariana Grande to become one of 2021's most stream songs.

Of course, the Weeknd has released multiple songs, collaborations, and videos since then. He also stars in and co-wrote the upcoming series The Idol, on HBO.

The pop sensation has had a busy few months releasing a new single Take My Breath back in August, as well as ‘You Right’ with Doja Cat and ‘One Right Now’ with Post Malone.

The album is available to purchase and stream right now - happy weekend!
