Jennifer Hudson is playing the Queen Of Soul
The first trailer for Aretha Franklin's biopic starring Jennifer Hudson has dropped.
Respect is expected to premiere in December, having been pushed out due to Coronavirus.
The trailer was revealed during Sunday night's BET Awards. Jennifer Hudson followed it with her rendition of Aretha's Young, Black & Gifted.
In the trailer we see Aretha interact with men in the music industry, fighting for her place as a black woman in a troubled era.
Jennifer's cover of Respect soundtracks the short teaser.

The movie tells the story of Aretha's career, from singing in her father's church as a child to her rise to international superstardom.
Franklin led an incredibly successful career, winning 18 Grammys in total.
The legendary artist passed away in August 2018 due to cancer, at the age of 76.
The movie also stars Forest Whitaker, Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Marc Maron, Marlon Wayans, Tituss Burgess, Saycon Sengbloh, Hailey Kilgore, Tate Donovan and Audra McDonald.
