Coming to Disney+ this summer
Summer 2021 is here and Disney+ are supplying the best content to go with it.
Here are some of the unmissable movies and shows they have to offer.
Raya and the Last Dragon
From the creators of Frozen and Moana comes Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon.
The film takes us on an exciting, epic journey to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together long ago in harmony.
But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity.
Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people.
However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world - it’s going to take trust and teamwork too.
Raya and the Last Dragon is streaming now on Disney+.
Loki is the next story in the MCU, and it follows the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow.
The 6-part original series is exclusive to Disney+ and takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
It features an all-star cast including Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant.
Loki arrives Wednesday, June 9th.
From the creators of the Oscar-winning Soul, Luca is this summer’s must-see movie.
The film is set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera.
It's a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides.
Luca (voice of Jacob Tremblay) shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, Alberto (voice of Jack Dylan Grazer).
But all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water's surface.
Luca is available to stream from Friday, June 18th.
Roll on summer 2021!
Disney+ is available for €8.99 a month.
