I'm A Celeb Announce Official Lineup For This Year's Show

I'm A Celeb 2020

The official lineup for this year's I'm A Celeb has been confirmed.

They shared the news on the show's social media channels last night.

Meet the contestants below:

1. Shane Richie

Shane is best known for playing Alfie Moon in EastEnders.

In his interview for the show, he recalled a time when he slept out in a tent and only lasted two hours because he was too cold.

We think he signed up for the wrong show...

2. Jessica Plummer

Jessica is best known for being part of the girl-band Neon Jungle.

She also plays Chantelle Atkins in EastEnders.

On why she agreed to star on the show, she said, "It's just a once in a lifetime opportunity."

3. Hollie Arnold

Hollie introduced herself as the, "current F46 Paralympic javelin gold medalist."

When she was presented with the opportunity to appear as a contestant on I'm A Celeb, she said she couldn't pass it up.

"I think a lot of my friends and family are gonna be like, 'I can't believe she didn't tell me... absolutely fuming.'"

4. Beverley Callard

Beverley is best known for playing Liz McDonald in Coronation Street.

She said she's most worried about the trials where celebs are tasked with eating creepy crawlies.

"The camp would starve," she admitted.

5. Jordan North

Jordan's a radio presenter on BBC Radio 1.

The host said he's looking forward to getting out of the house for a while.

"It'd be nice just to get out of the house for a couple of weeks... and my mum needs a new kitchen."

6. Sir Mo Farah

Sir Mo Farah is one of the most successful British track athletes in modern Olympic Games history.

On the topic of joining his fellow stars in the I'm A Celeb castle, Mo said, "I just want to go in there and have fun and just be myself."

7. Giovanna Fletcher

Giovanna is a bestselling author and the presenter of the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast.

Her husband is McFly's Tom Fletcher and her brother is Towie's Mario Falcone.

It sounds like Giovanna is going to have no problem with the creepy crawlies in the castle.

She said, "The main thing about Welsh critters is that they've got Welsh accents..."

"And I think if you put a Welsh accent on anything, isn't that a delightful thing to be with?"

8. AJ Pritchard

AJ is the brother of Love Island's Curtis Pritchard.

He's best known for having spent four years as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing.

In his I'm A Celeb interview, AJ said he can't stop thinking about what's going to be thrown his way in the castle.

"I'm just thinking about what animals are in Wales... but there's not a lot, is there?"

9. Victoria Derbyshire

Victoria is a journalist, "I've spent years interviewing people and breaking stories."

In her I'm A Celeb interview, she said she's taking on the jungle castle because she wants to, "immerse [herself] in adventures like this."

10. Vernon Kay

Vernon's been a TV and radio host for the past 20 years.

When asked why he wants to do the show, he said, "I just want to be part of that fun."

"Hopefully it's a gear change with everything that's going on."

Vernon added that he hopes his children Phoebe and Amber enjoy watching him on the show.

"Every time I mention this show, they just go, 'Yeah! Can't wait!'"

The TV personality teared up as he said, "I'm like, God I hope I don't let them down. That's why I keep welling up."

I'm A Celeb returns this Sunday at 9pm on Virgin Media One.
