Release date

Avengers: Endgame is due out on the 26th of April this year.

That's exactly one year since the release of Avengers: Infinity War.

The run time was finally revealed this afternoon and we're set for 3 hours and 2 minutes of super hero madness!

Cast

If you watched Infinity War then you'll know that the majority of the cast were killed off at the end of the movie.

However, that's not to say they won't mysteriously find their way back.

For now though we have to go off the facts we have.

Here's the names of the Avengers who managed to survive Infinity War:

Black Widow, Captain America, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Hulk, M'Baku, Shuri, Rocket Raccoon, Nebula, Iron Man,  Okoye, Thor, Valkyrie and Captain Marvel.

Plot

This movie follows on from Avengers Infinity War which ended with Thanos successfully collecting the Infinity Stones.

This causes him to wipe out half the universe meaning some of our favourite characters turn to dust.

Spider-Man, Peter Quill, and Black Panther are just some of the names who don't make it.

The Endgame plot has been a pretty big mystery for a while now.

What we do know is that the remaining Avengers are planning something, we just don't know what.

We think time travel plays a huge part in this movie.

One fan theory suggests the team travel through the Quantum Realm.

Perhaps the Avengers go back in time in an attempt to stop Thanos from collecting the Infinity Stones.

If this is what happens, we still don't know if they're successful in their mission.

Endgame also sees Brie Larson make an appearance as Captain Marvel.

Trailer

They released the second trailer earlier this month.

In the video we see black and white flashback scenes of our favourite characters.

Iron Man is up first throwing us back to the original Iron Man movies.

Next up it's Captain America, followed by Clint Barton and Thor.

Then we see flashes from Infinity War as well known characters are turned to dust.

It's over a minute into the trailer before we see some Endgame footage.

We do however, get a look at Antman, Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow and The Guardians of the Galaxy.

Just before the end, Brie Larson's Captain Marvel makes an appearance.

'Whatever it takes,' seems to be the movies tag line.

This is the second trailer we've got for the movie so far.

The first was released in early December.

What else do I need to know?

Tom Holland may have previously confirmed the Quantum Realm theory.

A video of the actor letting slip a pretty big Avengers: Endgame spoiler has resurfaced.

The Spiderman actor gave an interview alongside Benedict Cumberbatch to Access last year.

Ironically the interview starts with Holland and Cumberbatch discussing Tom's tendency to give away secrets.

He was even sent a heavily edited version of the script so he couldn't read other character's lines.

The pair were then asked who messes up their lines the most.

Cumberbatch admitted it was him but Tom added, "He has the most difficult lines though."

"He has to talk about so much Quantum Realm stuff. I just have to talk about, 'Yeah man, that's awesome'."

This might sound like a pretty standard answer however, Cumberbatch's character Dr. Strange doesn't discuss "Quantum Realm stuff" in Avengers: Infinity War.

This means the Quantum Realm and presumably Dr. Strange will have a big roll to play in April's sequel.

You can catch Avengers: Endgame in cinemas on the 26th of April this year.
