Labubu is heading to the big screen.
Pop Mart is reportedly teaming up with Sony Pictures Entertainment to create a live-action/CGI hybrid film based on the viral collectible character.
The project is set to be directed and produced by Paul King, best known for Paddington, Paddington 2 and Wonka. He will also co-write the script with Steven Levenson, who previously worked on Dear Evan Hansen.
Sony is said to have secured the rights to the project back in November, with an official announcement now confirmed.
The film comes after Labubu exploded in popularity in 2025, with the quirky dolls going viral and becoming a must-have accessory, often spotted hanging from bags and backpacks.
There’s no release date just yet — but fans can expect to see the beloved character brought to life on screen soon.
