Bord Gáis Energy Theatre are excited to announce an open casting call to find the principal cast for their next, highly anticipated in-house production of the glorious Rodgers & Hammerstein musical OKLAHOMA! This dazzling new production will feature the very best of Irish cast and creatives and will run from 19 June- 05 July 2026. Bord Gáis Energy Theatre are looking to cast nine of the principal characters from the iconic musical as well as a highly talented triple-threat ensemble. Professional performers are invited to submit a self-tape audition for the following roles:
- Curly McLain Romantic male lead; confident cowboy. Charming, playful, strong-willed, subtly cocky but deeply sincere. Good Dancer. Voice: Tenor/High Baritone. Playing Age Range: 18–30
- Laurey Williams Independent, spirited, guarded with her emotions, romantic underneath. Requires emotional clarity and the ability to play both strength and vulnerability. Strong trained dancer. Voice: Soprano. Playing Age Range: 18–30
- Jud Fry Dark, brooding antagonist. Socially isolated, resentful, intense, misunderstood; must balance menace with humanity. Voice: Baritone/Bass-Baritone. Playing Age Range: 25–40
- Ado Annie Carnes Requires broad comic timing and bold personality; singing can be characterdriven. Outgoing, with youthful exuberance. Voice: Mezzo-Soprano. Playing Age Range: 18–30
- Will Parker Earnest, enthusiastic, a bit dim but extremely lovable. Comedic charm. Strong Dancer. Voice: Tenor Playing Age Range: 18–3
- Aunt Eller Murphy Wise, practical, humorous, no-nonsense but warm-hearted. Must anchor the community with grounded humour and authority. Voice: Mezzo/Character. Playing Age Range: 40–60
- Ali Hakim A travelling peddler. Slick, fast-talking, opportunistic but harmless. Strong comedic timing. Voice: Character Baritone/Tenor. Playing Age Range: 30–50
- Andrew Carnes Ado Annie’s father. Comic father figure. Stern, protective, dry sense of humour. Needs sharp comedic delivery and presence. Voice: Baritone. Playing Age Range: 40–70
- Gertie Cummings Brash, flashy. Comic boldness, physicality & signature laugh are key! Comic Supporting role. Voice: Soprano/Character. Playing Age Range: 18–30
