Alaric Saltzman Matthew Davis is a dad!
The Vampire Diaries actor announced the birth of his first child on Twitter early this morning.
He and his wife Kiley Casciano named their little girl Ripley Nightingale Davis.
Taking to Twitter, Matthew wrote, 'Ripley Nightingale Davis Born March 31st 9:51pm 7lbs, Blond hair Blue eyes Moms beautiful face.'
He added, 'Thank you everyone for all your love and support.'
TVD writer Julie Plec replied, 'AWWWW. Also, thank effing god she wasn't born on April Fool's Day.'

Hours earlier, Matthew tweeted his observations of women giving birth.
He said, 'I’m quickly learning that women about to give birth don’t appreciate jokes.'
'My wife usually thinks I’m funny, but now I’m just an annoying chauffeur who needs to stfu'
Matthew added, 'Also questions like, "how are you feeling?” are not well received and seem to be met with responses like: “I feel like I’m having fu**ing contractions, that’s how I’m feeling."'
He joked, 'I’ve never felt so loved and hated all at the same time'

Matthew and Kiley
The happy couple tied the knot in December 2018 just days before Christmas.
Interestingly, they got married on the day he proposed.
They documented their big day on Instagram.
According to People, Matthew and Kiley tied the knot in the Albertson Wedding Chapel in Los Angeles.
Kiley posted, 'This is where we got married … in a strip mall.'
While Matthew posted, 'When you ask your lover if they want to get married while shopping in the produce section of Erewhon...'
'3 hours later you’re married on Christmas Eve Eve.'
'Thanks to Abbot Kinney for the last minute provisions.'
