Snoop Dogg, Michelle Pfeiffer & More Pay Tribute To Late Rapper Coolio

At 59-years-old, rapper Coolio has sadly passed away.

He was best known for his chart-topping 1995 song Gangsta's Paradise, which was written for the film Dangerous Minds, starring Michelle Pfeiffer.

In a statement, his manager Sheila Finegan said, 'We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend and client, Coolio, who passed away this afternoon.'

'He touched the world with the gift of his talent and will be missed profoundly.'

'Thank you to everyone worldwide who has listened to his music and to everyone who has been reaching out regarding his passing.'

'Please have Coolio’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers,' Sheila concluded.


Some of Hollywood's biggest celebs have been paying tribute to the late artist on social media, including Michelle Pfeiffer.

She wrote, 'Heartbroken to hear of the passing of the gifted artist @coolio.'

Snoop Dogg also paid tribute to the rapper with a picture of the two of them on Instagram captioned, 'Gangstas paradise. R. I. P.'

While MC Hammer posted a picture of Coolio on Twitter, and wrote, 'One of the nicest dudes I’ve known. Good people. R.I.P. Coolio'

And Ice Cube tweeted, 'This is sad news. I witness first hand this man’s grind to the top of the industry. Rest In Peace'

Bad Boys actor Martin Lawrence shared a picture of Coolio captioned, 'My deepest condolences and prayers go out to the family of @Coolio #rip'

While Sabrina actress Melissa Joan Hart wrote, 'I had the amazing honor to work and play with @coolio a few times and he was always down for a chat, a complete gentleman and a ton of fun to hang with.'
