Brad Pitt is officially stepping back into the shoes of Cliff Booth — and the reveal came during the biggest night in American sport.
A surprise teaser for The Adventures of Cliff Booth aired during the first quarter of Super Bowl LX, confirming the long-rumoured follow-up to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The new film is directed by David Fincher and is headed straight to Netflix.

The brief teaser showed Pitt reprising his Oscar-winning role as the laid-back stuntman, delivering a cool, cryptic line that hints at another story-driven adventure. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, the film is expected to follow Cliff Booth in a later chapter of his life, well after the events of Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 hit.
Though Tarantino penned the script, he handed directing duties to Fincher, having previously explained he didn’t want his final film to be a sequel. Instead, the project moves forward with Fincher’s signature dark polish and precision.
Joining Pitt is an impressive supporting cast including Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, Timothy Olyphant, Scott Caan, Holt McCallany and Peter Weller.
No release date has been confirmed yet, but the teaser promised the film is “coming soon” — and judging by the Super Bowl reveal alone, The Adventures of Cliff Booth is already shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most talked-about releases.
