The young mother in her 20s, injured in a serious assault, has been pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital.
Scarlett Faulkner was taken off life-support on Sunday, and passed away yesterday surrounded by her family.
She'd suffered serious head injuries in an assault in Birdhill in County Tipperary last month.
The Coroner has been notified.
A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
Gardai say a Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to support her family, and investigations are ongoing.
A number of people are before the courts in relation to the investigation.
