Taylor Swift has been announced as Time Magazine's Person of the Year for 2023.

The Person of the Year is someone who has shaped headlines over the part year, for better or worse.

Taylor is the first person to receive the title for their success in the arts, and only the fourth solo Person of the Year to be born in the past half century.

This year, the the singer spent most of her time on her Eras Tour, which became a huge sensation online, and which led to her becoming a billionaire.

She beat names like Vladimir Putin, Barbie and King Charles to take the title.

This isn't the only title she's claimed this year either. Taylor has recently been named Spotify's Artist of the Year and she's broken multiple records, along with winning numerous awards for her work.

This year, she's being recognised for an influence which led to university courses being developed to study her music and writing, and whole city's changing their names to welcome her for her Eras Tour show.

Commenting on the matter, Time Magazine says:

"While her popularity has grown across the decades, this is the year that Swift, 33, achieved a kind of nuclear fusion: shooting art and commerce together to release an energy of historic force. She did it by embracing what she does better than anyone, entertaining and writing songs that connect with people."

It's safe to say, Taylor has certainly been one of the most influential people this year.
