Shannon Airport has re-opened after disruption caused by heavy fog.
The temporary closure began at 11 oclock last night, because of the fog affecting maintenance work.
Normal flight operations resumed at 1pm this afternoon, but the backlog will have to be cleared.

Shannon Airport has advised travelers to check with their airline for more information before heading to the airport.
