The NSPCA has released a video of two individuals allegedly stealing a dog from one of its centres.

The incident happened at Sharpeshill near Rathdrum in County Wicklow on Tuesday night.

Two people appear to throw a dog over a fence in the video before leaving.

The charity says the female sighthound had just been neutered that day and was likely in a lot of pain.

They've appealed for anyone who may recognise the people in the footage, to contact Gardaí in Wicklow on (0404) 67107.

Anyone who was in the Ballygannon Road area are also asked to come forward.

Staff say they're extremely concerned for the dogs welfare, as she's supposed to be on pain medication.
