A 30-year-old Irishman has been arrested in Spain by police investigating the death of an Irishwoman.
The 36-year-old woman was found in the corridor of a hotel in Salou last night. Officers say she was seriously injured upon their arrival.
Emergency services attempted to revive her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was found lying beside her with what police describe as a "self-inflicted wound".
He was brought to the hospital for treatment and then to a local police station where he is being held for questioning.
