George’s Dock bridge in Dublin is officially back open after being badly damaged by a gas fire three months ago.
Pedestrians can now access the area, along with Luas trams and traffic.
It hasn’t been operating since the 19th of August when a fire, caused by a ruptured gas pipeline broke out.
Nobody was injured but the major blaze caused the beams on the bridge to buckle and compromised its structural integrity.
The demolition, design and reconstruction of the bridge cost around €7 million.
Up until today services were only running between Saggart/Tallaght and Connolly station.
Now, trams will serve all stops to the 3Arena, making it easier to go to concerts there.
Luas now operating all through to the Point from first service tomorrow morning Friday 28/11/25.
