You'll now be able to ghost your mam without any repercussions.

WhatsApp is reportedly adding 'emoji reactions' to messages over the coming weeks.

The popular messaging app is beta testing the feature with certain Android users.

It's set to give users the option to acknowledge a message without directly replying.

Over two billion people use the messaging service worldwide.

According to tech websites that have used the feature, you can 'emoji react' to a message by long-pressing it.

There are six initial emojis being used, according to the trial:

A thumbs-up, a love heart, a crying face, a laughing face, a shocked face, and a handshake.

It's a feature that has become commonplace with the likes of iMessage, Instagram and Twitter.

Recently Instagram allowed users to like stories separately rather than starting a DM with the person.
