This was probably one of the weirdest things we've seen Donald Trump do, and he's done a lot of weird things since he became US President.
In short, FIFA President Gianni Infantino had a meeting with Trump in the White House, in which he proceeded to explain how yellow and red cards work.
After Infantino explained that a red card was for 'kicking someone out' of a football match, Trump decided to jokingly showed the red card to the media.

Trump had had a fractured relationship with the media, often referring to some sections as 'Fake News', in particular CNN and The New York Times.
However, watching him try to throw the card at them instead of simply brandishing it caused a few giggles.
