America is welcoming back non-United States travellers from today.

The travel ban, which has been in place since January 2020 has been lifted.

Non-US citizens can travel into the States from today.

However, that's as long as they’re fully vaccinated and have a negative test.

It means people can now visit family over there, and take shopping trips.

Irish In America Excited Too

While those tourists are getting ready to board their flights, Jenny Coleman from Dublin is patiently waiting in California for the arrival of her parents.

She hasn't seen them for two years.

"I'm much more used to me being the one walking through Dublin airport, having Mam and Dad on the other side."

"It's always very emotional."

Six flights depart from Dublin today bound for the US.

The American Government has more details about the new travel procedures here.
